Tomorrow the result of JEE Advanced exam will be announced, counseling will start from September 12

JEE Advanced Result & JoSAA Counseling 2022: The result of JEE Advanced, the country’s most prestigious entrance exam conducted by IIT Mumbai, will be released on September 11 at 10 am. Through this examination, candidates will be given admission in more than 16 thousand seats of 23 IITs. JEE-Advanced exam was conducted on August 28 in two shifts in 225 exam cities of the country. The JoSAA counseling process for admission to IITs, NITs, TripleITs and GFTIs will start from September 12, the day after the results are declared.

Admission will be available in so many institutes –

This year, through JoSAA counseling, candidates will get admission in 54 thousand 477 seats of 23 IITs, 32 NITs, 26 TripleITs and 33 GFTIs. The complete schedule of JoSAA counseling has been released. The entire counseling and reporting will be online.
Category rank will also be released along with AIR
According to career counseling expert Amit Ahuja, the category rank will be released along with the All India Rank of the students in the JEE-Advanced results. As per the JEE-Advanced Information Bulletin, both the subject wise and average cutoffs have already been declared for the students to be included in the merit list, which are as follows.

This is the cut-off –

The cutoff is 10 percent subject wise for general category, 35 percent on average, and for OBC and EWS category students, subject wise is 9 percent and average is 31.5 percent. On the other hand, the subject wise for SC and ST students is 5 percent and the average is 17.5 percent. But last year the average cut off of open category was 17.50, subject wise 5 percent, OBC and AWS average 15.75 and subject wise 4.50 percent, SC and ST and PH category average cut off was 8.75 and subject wise 2.50 percent.
Last year so many candidates had qualified –
Ahuja said that last year 41 thousand 862 students had qualified for counselling. In this, 17 thousand 57 students of general category, 9 thousand 150 of OBC, 5 thousand 144 of EWS category, 7 thousand 747 of SC and 2 thousand 764 of ST were included. This year also the cutoff is likely to go down like the previous years. This year JEE-Advanced exam was conducted for a total of 360 marks, in which both Paper-I and Paper-II were of 180-180 marks.
Today is the last chance for Bits Choice filling
The admission process for B-Tech course is going on in all the three campuses of Birla Institute of Technology (BITS), Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. Students can do all their 12th class information and choice filling till 10th September. After the choice filling, the result of the first round will be declared on September 12.
