Soumya, a resident of Delhi, did her early studies from Delhi only. After this, she obtained a law degree from the National Law School. When she was in the final year of law, she decided to appear for the UPSC exam. There were many obstacles in her journey to become an IAS but she did not give up. Soumya took the UPSC exam for the first time in 2017, in which she secured the ninth rank and made her place at the top.
Soumya’s inspirational story inspires all those who want to succeed in some examination at their level. But they remain scared whether they will be able to do it or not. It was not that there were no obstacles in Soumya’s life. There were obstacles but she achieved success by overcoming all the obstacles. She was feverish at the time of the exam and was almost unconscious while being put on a drip. But she took the obstacles as a challenge and overcame them and got ninth rank in the UPSC exam in 2017. >
Difficulties faced
When Soumya decided to appear for the UPSC exam, she had very little time left to prepare for the pre-exam. He worked hard in a short period of time. His hard work paid off and he passed the pre-exam in the very first attempt. After this, she tried her best to prepare for the Mains exam. But difficulties once again surrounded Saumya’s path, to which Saumya gave a strong reply. On the day when Soumya had to appear in the Mains exam, she had high fever. Despite high fever and unconsciousness, she did not give up. She appeared in the examination. Her hard work paid off and Soumya passed this exam with good rank. Today Saumya Sharma is serving the country by becoming a capable officer.
