National Security Guard: The National Security Guard (NSG), also known as the Black Cat Commandos, is an important part of the Indian security system. It was established in 1984 after Operation Blue Star and since then the organization is engaged in ensuring the internal and external security of the nation. How many types of commandos are there
- Special Action Group (SAG): Combating terrorism.
- Special Ranger Group (SRG): Provides security to VIPs and VVIPs.
- Special Composite Group (SCG): Deployed in counter-terrorism operations in various cities.
Eligibility to join NSG
- Service Experience: Minimum three years of service in the Indian Armed Forces or Police Force.
- Educational Qualification: Graduate from a recognized University.
- Age Limit: Below 35 years.
- Health Standards: Must be physically and medically fit.

Selection Process and Training
The path to becoming a commando in the National Security Guard (NSG) is not a straight one. For this, candidates have to serve in the Indian Armed Forces, which includes the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Navy.
How to become an NSG commando
First of all, you have to serve in the Indian Army, Air Force, or Navy as an officer, soldier, or in any other position. CRPF personnel can also join this process. When you become a part of the armed forces, a vacancy for the posts of NSG commandos is released by the selection authority. After this, there are different rounds in which it is necessary to get success.
First of all, the service report, physical and medical fitness of the candidate is checked. After this, the shortlisted candidates have to undergo interview and various tests. The successful candidates are also sent outside the country for advanced training, where they are trained in special combat skills.

Salary and facilities
According to reports, NSG commandos get a stipend of Rs 18,000 per month during training. After training, their salary ranges from Rs 40,000 to Rs 85,000 per month. Apart from this, commandos also get many other allowances and facilities. These include travel allowance, dearness allowance, free ration and canteen facility, government quarters, free education and medical facilities, pension allowance etc.
