Toughest Exam Of The World: Examination is the medium through which the ability of a candidate in a particular field is tested. Everyone becomes a part of some exam in student life. Some of these papers are for everyone and some are special which are selected only by selected candidates. Such are some of the most difficult exams in the world, which not everyone wants to give. In these, the success percentage is low, difficulty level is high and the number of candidates is very high. Is UPSC CSE on top?
You will be surprised to know this, but in the list of most difficult exams in the world, UPSC is not at the top but at third place. Before this, there is an exam of India in second place which is considered more difficult than UPSC CSE. Every year lakhs of candidates appear for this exam but it is not the toughest exam in the world. Let us know who is on top.
National College Entrance Exam
The National College Entrance Exam (NCEE), better known as Gaokao, is considered to be the toughest exam in the world. This examination is held in China and is conducted for high school final year students. After passing it they get admission in college. This is a national level exam which lasts for two days and 9 hours. Every year about 12 million i.e. 1 crore twenty lakh students participate in it.
This examination is given great importance there. Those who pass this exam not only open doors to academics but also get good marriage proposals.
JEE Advanced
The second name in this list is of an exam from India itself but it is not UPSC CSE but JEE Advanced. Top 2.5 lakh students who clear JEE Mains exam can appear for JEE Advanced exam. This exam is of three hours and about 1.5 to 2 lakh candidates give it every year. After passing this examination, candidates get admission in undergraduate programs in the prestigious IITs of the country. They take degrees in Agriculture, Engineering, Architecture, Science etc.

UPSC CSE comes at third place. Every year about 10 to 11 lakh candidates appear for it and their shortlisting is done in the pre-examination itself. After passing this, candidates are appointed to the prestigious posts of IAS and IPS in the country. Union Public Service Commission organizes this examination every year and it is one of the toughest exams in the world. Its pass percentage is very low. Up to 10 lakh candidates sit at the initial level and finally the selection is done on 800 to 1000 seats only.
