Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has started courses related to yoga. Under the Yoga program, Yoga related courses will be given to the students in Jamia University. This is a certificate course of Jamia related to Yoga. On Sunday, the University conducted the entrance exam for admission to the Yoga Studies programme.

Jamia Millia Islamia on Sunday conducted the B.Ed. Entrance examination conducted for admission to (Distance Mode), M.Tech and Certificate in Yoga Studies programmes. To see the arrangements, Vice Chancellor Professor Mazhar Asif and Acting Registrar Professor Mohammad Mehtab Alam Rizvi visited the examination centers set up in Jamia Senior Secondary School and Syed Abid Hussain Senior School of the University.
The Vice Chancellor and the Registrar entered. Also interacted with the candidates who participated in the examinations and also resolved their questions. A total of 1,211 candidates had applied for the B.Ed program of Jamia Millia Islamia, out of which 1,046 candidates participated in the entrance examination on Sunday.
While, M.Tech. 46 out of 54 applicants took part in the entrance examination for the programme. Additionally, 29 out of 36 applicants appeared for the entrance examination for the Certificate in Yoga Studies. Professor Mazhar Asif recently assumed charge as the 16th Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI). After assuming charge, the new Vice Chancellor said that he welcomes criticism.
