My grandmother was the 14th child, her 13 siblings moved back to Israel in the 70s. Where they flourished with their fellow Jews back in their homeland. It was more than just a feeling of belonging. Sister and brother-in-law lost in the attack on October 7
Madhura further says- ‘He was the victim of 7th October. I lost my first cousin and her husband in the shooting in Sderot, Israel. He was brutally murdered in front of his two daughters aged six and three. Six-year-old girl’s last words before being rescued by Israeli police: Are you Israeli police? Please save the child next to me.
Terrorism does not care about anyone’s caste or religion – Madhura
The actress said that hatred gives rise to terrorism and it knows no religion, race or gender. “Imagine a six-year-old girl having to experience the murder of her own mother and her father and yet she knew she had to save the three-year-old child next to her. They were rescued by Israeli police over a brutal few hours. Saved after the shooting. An Israeli policeman was badly injured in this incident which we will never forget. Also during this shooting, an Arab Muslim man got injured. Tried to save sister and children from firing, but as per his luck, they killed him too, regardless of his religion. This shows that terrorism is not a religion, or Don’t know caste, or gender, or age.”
