‘Kantara’ was released in September 2022. People liked the story of the film so much that since then people were eager to know more about the world of Panjuluri Deva. Fans were waiting for the second part of this film and their restlessness was increasing to know its further story. A big update related to this has now come out. Rishabh Shetty released the teaser of ‘Kantara The Legend – Chapter 1’ on social media on Monday. Looking at this it is clear that this is not a sequel to the film but a prequel. Along with this, Rishabh Shetty has also posted the post of the film on his Instagram handle.

Kannada superstar Rishabh Shetty’s solid look can be seen in the poster and teaser. In both the poster and teaser, Rishabh Shetty is seen standing in a cave. He is soaked in blood from top to bottom and an ax can be seen in one hand and a trident in the other. Such an avatar of Rishabh is being seen for the first time. After watching this, no fan will be able to live without calling it terrible and dangerous. Rishabh is seen roaring with his eyes wide open, with ropes and Rudraksha beads wrapped around his hands. Seeing this, it is clear that Rishabh Shetty is going to be seen roaring with anger.

This film will be released pan India. However, the makers have shown the first glimpse of the movie in only one language. The posts have been issued in different languages. The teaser begins with Rishabh asking the audience if they can see the ‘light’ that helps him see into both the ‘past and the future’. His character Shiva can be seen looking towards the moon before being fully introduced. His avatar is completely different.

What is the basis of the story of ‘Kantara’?

Although not much is known about the story of the film, it is clear that this time Rishabh is going to take the audience further back into the story. One of the title cards shown in the teaser reads, ‘During the reign of the Kadambas’. This hints that the film will be set in 300 AD. For those unaware, the Kadambas existed from 345-540 AD. This was an ancient royal family of Karnataka. He ruled northern Karnataka and Konkan. It is also said that Trilochan Kadamba originated from the sweat of Lord Shiva.

Rishabh was seen in double role

Let us tell you, not only Rishabh was seen acting in ‘Kantara’, but his direction was also seen in the film. In the film, he was seen in the double role of Shiva and Shiva’s father. The film tells the coming of age story of a man who is captured by Guliga Dev and Panjuluri Dev in order to rid the village of evil. The film ends with Shiva disappearing into the forest to meet his father’s spirit. His father’s soul also disappeared in a similar manner.
