Also honored with Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan
Along with the cinema world, the Government of India also honored Chiranjeevi with the Padma Bhushan Award in 2006. After this, in the same year Chiranjeevi was also honored with Padma Vibhushan by the Government of India. Andhra Pradesh government has also given Raghupati Venkaiah Award to Chiranjeevi.
Earned a special name in politics also
Chiranjeevi also launched Praja Rajmya Party in the year 2008. This party had created a lot of ruckus in the first elections soon after its launch. In the 2009 Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, Chiranjeevi’s party won 18 out of 294 seats and secured 16 percent of the total votes. This victory made him a big name in the world of politics. However, later this party merged with Congress. Along with being a Member of Parliament, Chiranjeevi has also been a Minister in the State Cabinet.
