Elvish Yadav’s lawyer Deepak Rathi says that he does not know anyone. Due to the strike in Surajpur court for the last three days, the hearing in the Elvish case was not taking place. Elvish’s lawyer Deepak Rathi said that this matter will be heard in the court on Friday. There will be a debate on the matter in the court at around 1 pm. He told that on Wednesday the police had submitted an application in the court for enhancement of sections in the FIR, in which sections 22, 29, 30, 32 of NDPS have been increased and sections 27 and 27A have not been increased by the court. Noida Police has imposed 29 NDPS Act on Elvish Yadav. 29 NDPS Act is imposed when someone is involved in a drug related conspiracy such as drug buying and selling. The accused registered under this Act do not get bail easily. Last year, based on a complaint by the organization People for Animals (PFA), Noida Police had raided a banquet hall located in Sector 51 and arrested five people.

PFA had also named Elvish Yadav in its FIR and accused him of organizing rave parties. It was claimed that they invited foreigners and arranged for poisonous snakes. Extracting the venom glands of a snake is a punishable offense under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and the culprit can be jailed for seven years.
