The Padma Awards 2024 were announced on Thursday, just a day before Republic Day. 34 names are included among the personalities honored with Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. Veteran actresses Vyjayanti Mala and Mithun Chakraborty will be honored with ‘Padma Vibhushan’. In this series, South’s superstar Chiranjeevi will also be honored with ‘Padma Vibhushan’. Apart from these, many more names from the film industry are also included. After the announcement of being honored with ‘Padma Vibhushan’, the country’s second highest civilian award, Chiranjeevi shared a video and expressed his gratitude.

Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the actor said that he has done very little work and yet he has been given so much respect. Chiranjeevi shared a video on social media thanking everyone after being awarded the Padma Vibhushan.

In the clip, Chiranjeevi said, ‘I became speechless after hearing this news. I am truly overwhelmed, humbled and grateful. It’s just the unconditional love of the audience, my friends, my real brothers and sisters. I am indebted to this life. I have always tried to express my gratitude in every possible way, but, nothing can ever be enough. Over the last 45 years of my career on screen, I have tried to entertain you to the best of my abilities. I tried to help the needy by participating in relevant social and humanitarian work.

After this, Chiranjeevi thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said, ‘I have done very little work. Still you have given me so much respect. I will always be indebted to you for your love and support. In this moment of pride I would like to thank the government and our Prime Minister Narendra Modi for receiving ‘Padma Vibhushan’.
