The recently released web series ‘IC-814: The Kandahar Hijack’ on Netflix has been surrounded by controversies. There is a lot of uproar over the story of this series and some of the scenes shown. ANI filed a lawsuit against Netflix

The makers of ‘IC-814: The Kandahar Hijack’ have presented the incident of Kandahar plane hijacking in Indian history in 1999 in the series, which has been surrounded by controversies since its release last month. News agency ANI’s lawyer Siddhant Kumar said that the makers of the series have used the trademark of ANI. He said that the series is being criticized and their trademark is also being defamed. ANI wants those episodes of the series to be removed in which the content of the news agency has been used. He said that the Delhi High Court has agreed to hear the case and has also sought a response from Netflix. ANI has said in its petition that ‘IC-814: The Kandahar Hijack’ has used footage of then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, General Pervez Musharraf and terrorist Masood and others without permission.
