In the episode of September 12, host Amitabh Bachchan asked contestant Mukund Narayan, who is a farmer, a question about the former ambassador to the United States who became the President of India. After using the phone-a-friend lifeline, he gave the correct answer, but one question spoiled his entire game. 50-year-old farmer Mukund Narayan More decided to leave the game with Rs 6.40 lakh. In ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 16’, Amitabh Bachchan asked contestant Mukund Narayan a question in which he asked about the former ambassador to the US who later became the President of India. After using the phone-a-friend lifeline, he got the correct answer KR Narayanan but despite that, he left the show. Later Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan told that after retiring in 1978, he served as the Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and then also served as Ambassador to the US from 1980 to 1984. He entered politics in 1984 and won the Lok Sabha seat from Ottapalam constituency in Kerala on a Congress ticket. Kocheril Raman Narayanan was also a Minister of State in the Rajiv Gandhi government before becoming the President of India.
Amitabh Bachchan fulfilled the farmer’s dream
Mukund Narayan More decided to quit the game after answering the 11th question and walked away with Rs 6.40 lakh. On the show, Mukund also revealed that he is a big fan of singer Kumar Sanu and often listens to his songs while working in the fields. Amitabh Bachchan was overwhelmed by his admiration for the legendary singer and decided to give the farmer a special gift. The actor made a video call to Kumar Sanu to fulfill the farmer’s wish and got them to talk.
