Arijit Singh demands justice in Kolkata rape-murder case
Bollywood singer Arijit Singh’s name is included in the list of industry celebrities who have come forward and extended their support to the ongoing protests following the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital. The singer has extended his support to the victim and released a song on his official YouTube channel titled ‘Aar Kobe’ which means ‘When will this solution be found’. Through this new Bengali song, the singer has appealed for justice in the Kolkata rape and murder case. The song features a picture of a hand and demands justice for the late trainee doctor.

Along with the video, the ‘Tum Hi Ho’ singer penned a long note and wrote, “On 9th August 2024, in the heart of Kolkata, a tragedy shook the nation to its core. The brutal murder of a young trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College sparked protests across India. This song is a cry for justice, a lament for the countless women who suffer in silence, and a demand for change.”

The trainee female doctor was raped and then murdered
Let us tell you, earlier this month, a 31-year-old female trainee doctor was raped and murdered at RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata. After the horrific incident, doctors and students protested at several places in Kolkata demanding justice for the victim’s family and better law and order situation in the state. Bollywood stars also expressed their anger after the case came to light. Many stars raised questions on the safety of women in the country regarding the horrific murder and rape of the trainee doctor and demanded justice for the deceased.
