The actress’s father Anil Mehta (step father) committed suicide by jumping from the 6th floor. This incident is being told of 9 am on Wednesday. Mumbai Police’s crime branch and forensic team reached the spot and started investigating the case. Malaika Arora was out of town during this incident, as soon as she came to know about it, she left all her work and reached the spot. During this time, her family members, close friends and Arjun Kapoor became the support for the actress.

Malaika Arora was at her father Anil Mehta’s house till late night. During the police action, she was seen with her sister Amrita Arora and mother Joyce. The police noted down everyone’s statements. It was revealed that Anil Mehta had called both his daughters just before committing suicide. Not only this, Anil had said that he was tired now. Anil’s wife also told that when she was searching for her husband in the morning, she saw his slippers lying in the hall but he was not there. When she reached the balcony, she came to know that the guard below was shouting. She realized that something was wrong. Apart from this, she also told that Malaika’s father did not have any disease, he only had a problem of pain in his knee.
