Production designer Rajat Poddar worked for famous films like ‘Barfi’, ‘Fighter’, ‘Pathan’ and the recently released ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. His death was confirmed by his friend Anees Bazmee on Friday night. Bollywood director-writer-producer Anees Bazmee shared the sad news of his demise and expressed his condolences, writing, ‘Lost a dear friend today. A wonderful human being and a master production designer. Gone too soon… you will always be missed Rajat Da.

Many Bollywood celebrities expressed their condolences on social media by paying emotional tribute to the memory of Rajat Poddar. Director Vivek Agnihotri also paid tribute to Rajat and talked about his life and contributions after his demise. Rajat Poddar has also contributed as art director in successful projects like ‘Murder’, ‘Jannat’, ‘Awarapan’ and ‘No Problem’. His remarkable talent has earned him several awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Art Direction, Zee Cine Award for Best Production Design and IIFA Award for Best Art Direction.
