Speaking to GQ India, Vikrant Massey revealed how difficult it was for him to play the role of Manoj Kumar Sharma in the film ’12th Fail’. Vikrant revealed that Vinod wanted everything to be perfect in the film, he worked hard for about one and a half years and three months in preparation for the film. The actor also lost weight for the film and did not need makeup to tone down his skin. Therefore, Vikrant had burnt his skin in the sun to look dark and he shot the film without makeup. During this conversation, he also told that playing the character of IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma was the toughest role of his life.

Vikrant Massey also revealed what he had to do to play the character. Vikrant Massey said, ‘I had to lose weight and lighten my skin. I got burnt while tanning my skin and I was nervous too but I thought we have to go ahead with the shoot. Then I tried my best to do my work in a perfect manner. The most difficult thing for me was to play the role with the same amount of emotion despite the burnt skin. However, this journey was very special for me. Someone who represents the dreams of millions of Indians.

’12th Fail’ actor Vikrant Massey will soon be seen in ‘Yaar Jigri’, ‘Sector 36’ and ‘The Sabarmati Report’. Recently it was also announced that he will soon play the lead role in the sequel of the 2021 film ‘Haseen Dilruba’, which will be titled ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba’. Vikrant Massey and Taapsee Pannu will be seen reprising their roles in this film.
