Actresses like Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza and Sonam Kapoor were also seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial ‘Sanju’, but this film did not attract Kangana. Whereas, Ranbir Kapoor had personally requested her to play a role in this film. Kangana told that Ranbir Kapoor himself came to her with the offer of a role in Sanju, but she refused to do it.

Kangana Ranaut said in an interview with Siddharth Kannan- ‘Ranbir himself came to my house and said- please play a role in Sanju. I did not do that role, but that does not mean that…’ Kangana left it here. In the film, Ranbir was seen playing the role of Sanjay Dutt and Paresh Rawal was seen playing the role of Sunil Dutt. Dia Mirza was playing the role of Sanjay Dutt’s wife and Sonam Kapoor was playing the role of his girlfriend. Apart from this, Anushka Sharma played the role of a biographer named Winnie Diaz in the film, to whom Sanjay Dutt narrated his story for the film.
Refused to work with many big stars
Earlier, Kangana Ranaut had said in an interview with Raj Shamani that she has rejected films with many big stars because she did not feel that these roles were good for women. The actress also told that she has rejected offers of 10-15 crores for fairness cream. Revealing the reason for this, Kangana said that doing so would promote racism, so she rejected the advertisements of fairness cream.
