Trial of 3 thousand people
This device was developed by Prof. Jayant Kumar Singh and his team have prepared it in 6 years. This is a portable device, which can be kept in a small bag and taken anywhere. Its trial has also been conducted on about 3 thousand people by setting up camps at many places in Kanpur. Cancer has been detected in youth up to 22 years of age with this device. Factory workers and people doing private jobs also participated in the testing.

How does the device work?
Pro. Jayant told that the size of the device is as much as a toothbrush. It has high quality camera and LED. It can also be connected to smartphone, tablet or iPad. After taking the picture inside the mouth, the camera will send a detailed report to the mobile. It keeps storing health history for tracking along with power backup. Its result is 90% accurate and there is no pain in its test.

Pro. Jayant told that the price of this device to detect mouth cancer will range from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 2 lakh. Many of the items used in it have to be imported from abroad, hence its price is high. At least 5 lakh people can be tested with one device. About 300 people can be tested in a day. The arrival of this device in the market can bring a big revolution in the medical sector.
