Shweta Bachchan has told the secret of her parents Amitabh and Jaya’s excellent skin. Shweta told that the Bachchan family has made mustard oil a part of their healthy lifestyle. Shweta says that I am very afraid of needles. I want to do so many things, but I’m so afraid of needles and pain that I don’t know if I can. So the only option I have is to work very hard on it (skin care). I also think that 80 percent of your skin depends on genetics and diet. My parents (Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan) have very good skin. Shweta said on Mira Kapoor’s YouTube series ‘Skin and Within’.
Mustard oil is beneficial for the skin
Shweta further says that I think the only similarity between them is mustard oil. My mom eats a lot of fish and everything. Bengali people use mustard oil. My father uses it (mustard oil) on his face and body. She never touches her face (has had cosmetic treatments and procedures), and I think she has great skin at 81 and 76.
Taking a cue from this report in The Indian Express, we contacted Dr Rinki Kapoor, consultant dermatologist at The Aesthetic Clinic, to know more about the benefits of mustard oil for the skin. He told Indian Express.com that mustard oil is believed to improve the complexion, remove fine lines and increase the elasticity of the skin. He further said that some people believe that it promotes better blood circulation and can also help in curing dark circles under the eyes.

Mustard oil also helps in renewing skin cells. Dr. Kapoor says that many people also rely on mustard oil to treat chapped lips and wrinkles. However, these benefits seem promising. But there is no solid scientific evidence that mustard oil directly contributes to getting good skin.
Should everyone use mustard oil?
It is not necessary for all people to benefit from mustard oil. Because some special precautions need to be taken while applying mustard oil. Everyone can apply mustard oil on the skin but some special precautions need to be taken.
