Recently a person died in the state’s Malappuram district reportedly due to Nipah infection.
When contacted, a district health official confirmed that a sample had been sent to the Kozhikode Medical College for testing, but said the results were yet to come.
The official also confirmed that the patient died on September 9. The samples were then sent for testing.
