The dangers of working without sleep

A report published in the journal Elsevier states that people who sleep less are more likely to have suicidal thoughts. Such people commit suicide more often. Not getting 7-8 hours of sleep every day can cause serious damage to health. One hour less sleep can increase the risk of heart disease. This means that if someone sleeps less than the prescribed time, then the risk of heart attack increases by 24% the next day. According to the journal Open Heart, this has been proved in a study on more than 42 thousand people admitted for heart attack.

2. Age decreases

A study published in the journal JAMA recently found that if a healthy person sleeps for just four hours, his testosterone hormone becomes equal to that of a person 10 years older than his age. That means he becomes 10 years older. Less sleep increases the risk of aging.

Research published in the National Library of Medicine states that people who sleep less than 7 hours a day are 3 times more likely to get the flu. This means they are more likely to suffer from the common cold.

5. Antibodies are produced less

Research published in the journal Sleep Health has found that if someone sleeps incompletely for a week before taking a vaccine, then only 50% of antibodies are formed in his body after getting the vaccine.
