Tips to increase immunity to avoid new variants of Corona

Despite enduring Corona for three years, Corona has not yet gone out of our minds. Corona has changed its many forms over the years. As soon as it seems that we have become corona free, immediately corona appears in front of us in its new form. Now once again the new variant of Corona JN.1 has given people sleepless nights. The new strain of Corona JN.1 (coronavirus variant JN.1) has created panic all over the world. Earlier cases were reported in China, America, Singapore but now cases are being seen in India also. High alert has been issued in Kerala state of India. There is an alert in Uttarakhand also. The Health Ministry is also holding meetings on this issue. Now the question arises whether this new variant of Corona is dangerous? In such a time, health experts believe that to keep yourself safe from corona infection, you should take good care of your diet.

According to health experts, the risk of coronavirus infection can be reduced by paying more attention to immunity. We can reduce the risk of corona infection by paying attention to our calories, oxidative stress, vitamins, inflammation and detoxification among the main nutritional elements.

Calories

If we include low calorie food in our diet, it may lead to inadequate intake of vitamins and minerals in the diet, which reduces immunity. Glycogen obtained from a diet adequate in calories and carbohydrates boosts the immune system. Simple carbohydrates like sugar, jaggery, fruit juices, ghee, oil are good sources of calories.

Inflammation

The body’s process of fighting infections, injuries and toxins is called Inflammation. When certain cells are damaged, your body releases chemicals that trigger a response from your immune system. Omega 3 fatty acids, Vit A, E and C, Zinc are essential to reduce inflammation.

Detoxification

The liver detoxifies the poisons produced by the body. Detox largely focuses on adequate sleep as well as increasing water intake, eating antioxidant-rich foods, reducing sugar, salt intake, etc. through which the body can be detoxified.

Oxidative Stress

Oxidative stress creates an imbalance between free radicals and antioxidants present in the body. The use of antioxidants as micronutrients may help protect against increased oxidative stress. Selenium, vitamins A, E and C, lycopene and lutein are good sources of antioxidants. These include milk products, eggs, green leafy vegetables, citrus fruits, almonds, peanuts, etc.
