A four-day unofficial test match is being played between India and Australia under-19 teams. On the second day of the match, Indian Under-19 team’s opening batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a quick century, however despite this the Indian team was not able to take a big lead. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also created a new world record with this. Vaibhav has become the youngest batsman to score a century in any professional cricket match. Vaibhav scored this century at the age of 13 years 241 days. He broke the record of Nazmul Hossain Shanto of Bangladesh. Shanto scored a century in Youth One Day International in 2013 at the age of 14 years and 241 days. At number three is Pakistan captain Babar Azam, who scored a century in Youth ODI in 2009 at the age of 15 years and 48 days.

Talking about the unofficial Test match, on the second day Australia failed to take a big lead against the spin of spinners Thomas Brown and Vishwa Ramkumar. Playing ahead of 81 runs on the first day, Suryavanshi scored 104 runs in 62 balls with 14 fours and four sixes. He added 133 runs for the first wicket with Vihaan Malhotra (76 runs).

However, other batsmen failed to play big innings due to which the Indian team, playing yesterday’s lead of 103 runs without losing any wicket, was reduced to 296 runs in the first innings and got a lead of only three runs on the basis of first innings. For Australia, off-spinner Brown took three wickets for 79 runs while Indian-origin leg spinner Ramkumar took four wickets for 79 runs.

Australia has scored 110 runs for four wickets in the second innings. The team has a lead of 107 runs and it will not be easy to chase the target of around 200 runs in the fourth innings. After Suryavanshi was run out on an accurate throw by Christian Howe, Brown and Ramkumar did not allow the Indian batsmen to find any rhythm and the team lost the remaining nine wickets for 163 runs.

The second impressive partnership for India was 57 runs for the fifth wicket between Abhigyan Kundu (32) and captain Soham Patwardhan (33) but the Indian team could not cross the 300-run mark. In the second innings, openers Riley Kingsell (48) and Oliver PK (32) added 72 runs for the second wicket but leg spinner Mohammad Inan gave India a comeback by taking two wickets.
