Guwahati. In Assam’s Biswanath district, the police have arrested 17 Bangladeshi nationals for violating tourist visa rules. All these accused were promoting religion by keeping the rules in mind. According to the information, he was arrested from the rural area of Baghmari. Before coming to Assam, all these Bangladeshis had visited Ajmer Sharif of Rajasthan and Cooch Behar district of West Bengal. All these accused were led by Syed Ashraful Alam.
Police said that even last month, while giving tourist visas to these people, they were warned not to propagate any kind of religion, but they did not listen. According to the news of NDTV, Biswanath district SP Naveen Singh said that we were surprised when these Bangladeshi people came to Baghmari. Because, there is no tourist place here. We also wanted to know why these people are here. We came to know that they belong to a particular organization.

The SP said that we also verified that who supported him in giving his sermon. All these accused came to Assam from different places by forming separate groups. He said that these people were coming to India from August 24 in different groups. On the other hand, their leader Syed Ashraful Alam said that his relatives live here. He had come to meet them.
