1993 Mumbai Blasts: Terrorist involved in Mumbai serial blasts, Abu Bakr arrested in UAE

1993 Mumbai Blasts: The Indian Investigation Agency claims that the most wanted terrorist of the 1993 Mumbai blasts, Abu Bakr, has been arrested from the UAE. This arrest has been made in collaboration with UAE agencies. Sources also told that efforts will be made to bring him to India.

Sources in the agency said that even in the year 2019, he was caught from the UAE and then there was no success in bringing him to India. This time he has been caught again and this time there will be an attempt to bring him to India. Abu is accused of bringing RDX to blast in India. According to the information received, the operation was going on for a long time to catch him. Before his arrest, he had received information about hiding in Pakistan and UAE.

Actually Abu Bakr is considered close to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. Apart from his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai blasts, there are many allegations like training of explosives in PoK and supplying arms to terrorists. Abu Bakr is alleged to have supplied RDX in huge quantities during the Mumbai blasts.

257 killed in Mumbai blasts

257 people were killed in the Mumbai blasts on 12 March 1993. On this day 11 more blasts happen one after the other in 12 minutes in a sequential manner and the whole country was in panic along with Mumbai. A total of 257 people lost their lives in the blast and more than 700 people were seriously injured.
