39 people from Punjab were killed in two incidents of violence in Pakistan’s Balochistan province on Monday. In one case, several vehicles were stopped on the highway in Balochistan’s Musakhel and the people of Punjabi origin who got down from them were killed. Before killing these people, their ID cards were checked and after it was found out that they were Punjabis, they were killed. Apart from this, 16 people were killed in another incident. The Baloch Liberation Army has taken the responsibility of these attacks. This is an organization of Baloch militants, which often targets people of Punjabi origin.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Army has launched an operation against Baloch rebels. According to a report by Radio Pakistan, 12 militants have been killed since this morning. The report said that terrorists have carried out cowardly attacks at many places in Balochistan. The security forces have strongly responded to these attacks and have killed 12 in the operations conducted so far. Let us tell you that on Sunday night, the Baloch Liberation Army had attacked police stations in Mastung, Kalat, Pasni, Santsar.
Taking responsibility for these attacks, the organization said that we have attacked some other places as well. Apart from this, the railway line connecting Pakistan to Iran has also been targeted. In fact, a separatist movement has been going on in Balochistan since the formation of Pakistan. The Baloch believe that Pakistan exploits their resources, but there is no development there. Work is also going on here on many other projects including Gwadar Port in collaboration with China. The Baloch have also come out in protest against these.
Not only this, they often attack Punjabis in protest against this. Actually, they believe that the people of Pakistani Punjab have illegal possession of the resources of Balochistan. Due to this, they are being exploited. There have been many such incidents this year, when people of Punjab were targeted in Balochistan. Apart from this, there have been attacks on Chinese citizens many times. In one attack, 9 Chinese engineers were killed.
