‘A good budget is one that covers all sections of the society’- Finance Minister Sitharaman

New Delhi. I see a good budget as something that covers all sections of society. The immediate impact of the budget on the market will continue in the coming days as well. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said this during a special conversation with Network18 Editor-in-Chief Rahul Joshi. He said that Budget 2023 is being appreciated by the markets, it is a good sign. Earlier, Sitharaman had said that the government has made the new income tax regime more attractive to taxpayers and brought ‘substantial changes’ in its structure for the benefit of the middle class.

Talking about the major outcomes expected from Budget 2023, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that I expect to see a significant change in tourism with people coming from abroad. This would be a good way to keep the economy active. He further said that I see a momentum in the PM-Vikas Yojana, as it has a huge market and with its launch, we will be able to reach out to a large number of people.
