Independent MP from Purnia, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, during his visit to the flood affected areas, lost his temper when there was no electricity in an area for four days and said something to a government officer on the phone, which on being reminded, he admitted his mistake and Said sorry.
Independent MP from Purnia Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav lost his temper during his visit to the flood affected areas of the parliamentary constituency and said something on phone to a government official which he has now considered wrong and has also apologized. Bahubali Pappu Yadav, who reached the Lok Sabha four times from Purnia and twice from Madhepura seat, had inspected the relief and rescue work in the flood affected areas in Rupauli on Thursday. During this time, a video of him getting angry at an officer of the electricity department has gone viral. Regarding not answering people’s calls and no electricity for four days, Pappu asks the officer that you were sleeping with your wife for four days.
When Live Hindustan asked Pappu Yadav whether he considered it appropriate or inappropriate to say such a thing to an officer, he accepted his mistake and said that due to the grief of the people troubled by the flood, he said such a thing in anger which was wrong and he was sorry for it. Let’s speak. The area where Pappu had reached by boat had been without electricity for four days. Despite repeated calls from the villagers, the department officials did not provide any solution. On the complaint of the villagers, Pappu Yadav called the department officer and reprimanded him a lot. When the officer told on the phone that now the electricity has come, then Pappu said, don’t you have any responsibility, why did it turn on when you asked?
Only a part of the conversation between Pappu and the electricity department officer is heard in the video in which Pappu is speaking. Pappu says- “Why don’t you pick up the phone of these people… Why is there no line for four days… It just turned on, just when you said it, it started… Were you sleeping with your wife for four days… Trees fell for four days? It was on, when I just spoke it started… after speaking to SE it started… What is your responsibility… We don’t know anything. Tell us about Nandgola and Dumri. How long will it take to provide electricity? You tell us.”
In the same video, before talking to the electricity officer, Pappu Yadav asks an administrative officer on another phone as to why the community kitchen has not been started here yet. Pappu Yadav says to this officer- “We are roaming in Kaushikipur, Simra, Nandgola and Dumri. What’s the matter, you have not sent the dry ration packet anywhere…now you are in Simra. You were giving 400 packets. There is not a single house here that is not affected. Why community kitchen has not been started in this area… Even Kursela has not been declared a flood affected area, so how are community kitchens being run in Kursela… Now the DM of Katihar said that 40 community kitchens have been started… You talk to your DM. Please note that you had received a call from the MP, the community kitchen is running in Kursela, why is it not running here?”
On the question of whether what was said to the officer in the video from Live Hindustan was considered appropriate or inappropriate, Pappu Yadav said – “No. Don’t consider it good. We were saying it in a slightly different form. That is not right. I’m sorry. This is absolutely wrong. This is absolutely wrong. I don’t think it is right. I agree. I am not that kind of person either. Since there was flood in the area and electricity was missing for five days. How would you feel if your family also stayed there for five days? I was angrily telling him on the phone.”
After this, Pappu Yadav mentioned a controversial statement of Anant Singh and said that he abuses every day, sits on the channel and abuses. When all these people abuse their mothers and sisters, no one speaks up, then they get poisoned by caste. This month, on September 17, Pappu Yadav’s elderly and ailing father Chandranarayan Yadav passed away. At this time even his father’s Shraddha program has not been completed. Leaders are also coming to his house to express their condolences. In between, he is spending time roaming in the area. Despite the refusal of sailors and villagers, Pappu Yadav is going to the flood affected areas in a boat.
