New Delhi: BJP’s Delhi state president Virendra Sachdeva has reacted to the news of choosing Aam Aadmi Party’s Atishi as the new Chief Minister. Virendra Sachdeva has said that Kejriwal has to make her the Chief Minister under pressure from Manish Sisodia. He said that making Atishi the Chief Minister is not going to change the character of Aam Aadmi Party. Sachdeva said that the character of this party is corruption and this makeover is not going to erase the stains of corruption on its face.
‘Department was taken away from Gehlot and given to Atishi’
The BJP leader claimed that Arvind Kejriwal wanted to make someone else the Chief Minister. He said, ‘Just like he had snatched many important departments from Kailash Gehlot and given them to Atishi under pressure from Manish Sisodia, similarly he is having to make Atishi the Chief Minister under the pressure of Manish Sisodia.’ Responding to a question about the move of a woman Chief Minister, Sachdeva said that this is not the first time a woman is becoming the Chief Minister of Delhi. He said that before this Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dixit have also been the Chief Minister of Delhi but the biggest crime of the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party is being corrupt.
‘Aatishi is also a part of the panic button scam’
Sachdeva said that as far as women’s safety is concerned, they have done a panic button scam in the name of women’s safety and Atishi has also been a part of it. Targeting Atishi, he said, ‘She is looking after the PWD and education department. Atishi should tell what is the condition of Delhi’s roads? The half-hour journey from Mundka to Nangloi takes two and a half to three hours. The condition of roads all over Delhi is the same. She also has the education department. During her tenure, one lakh students of 9th class and 54 thousand students of 11th class were failed because they have to keep their records right. The people of Delhi will not forgive the government that is playing with the future of children.’ (IANS)
