After Mangesh Yadav, one more accused in Sultanpur loot case killed in STF encounter, reward of one lakh was on his head

STF Encounter: After Mangesh Yadav, another accused in Sultanpur loot case has been killed in an encounter by UP STF. This encounter took place in Unnao. This time the name of the criminal killed was Anuj Pratap Singh. There was a reward of one lakh rupees on him. So far nine accused have been arrested in this case while two accused have been killed. Four accused are still absconding. UP Police and STF are continuously conducting raids in search of them.

According to the information received, in a joint operation of STF and Unnao Police in Bethar of Achalganj police station in Unnao on Monday morning, criminal Anuj Pratap Singh was shot in the head. Police took Anuj to the hospital where doctors declared him dead. According to the police, a reward of one lakh rupees was declared on Anuj. Let us tell you that on August 28, miscreants had looted jewellery worth Rs 1.35 crore in broad daylight from Bharat Ji Soni, a resident of Chowk Thatheri Bazaar in Sultanpur. In this case, the police had killed a criminal named Mangesh Yadav on September 5. After the encounter of Mangesh, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav had accused the UP STF of taking action on the basis of caste. SP was continuously making this encounter an issue.

Police had arrested Ajay Yadav, another accused in Sultanpur loot case, three days ago. Ajay Yadav was shot in the leg in the encounter that took place before his arrest. On Monday morning, STF once again had an encounter with the accused in Sultanpur loot case in which Anuj Pratap Singh was killed. Before the encounter of Mangesh Yadav, police had arrested accused Sachin Singh, Pushpendra Singh and Tribhuvan in another encounter on the night of 2 September. 15 kg of looted silver and about 38 thousand rupees in cash were recovered from them.

The main accused Vipin Singh had surrendered

Vipin Singh, the main accused in the Sultanpur robbery case that heated up the politics of UP, had surrendered in the gangster case in the court of Raebareli. According to the police, Anuj Pratap Singh, resident of Janapur Mohanganj Amethi, was also involved in the robbery at jeweler Bharat Sonari’s place along with other members of Vipin Singh’s gang. Last Friday, the looted goods from Bharat Ji Jewelers were released. On the orders of the court, the Kotwali Nagar Police handed over 15 kg silver and more than two kg gold to the jewelers.

Four accused still absconding

Four accused in Sultanpur loot case are still absconding. Police has arrested nine accused in this sensational loot case which took place in broad daylight at Bharat Ji Jewelers. A total of 14 accused were identified in this case. One accused is unidentified. Two accused, Mangesh Yadav on 5 September and now Anuj Pratap Singh on 23 September, have been killed in encounter. Four accused are still absconding. The arrested accused include Tribhuvan, Pushpendra, Sachin who were caught after encounter on 3 September, Durgesh Singh, Vinay Shukla, Vivek Singh, Arvind Yadav who were caught on 11 September and Ajay Yadav alias DM who was caught in encounter on 20 September. The accused who are still absconding include Arbaaz, Furkan, Ankit Yadav and one unidentified. A reward of one lakh rupees has been placed on all of them.
