Air India Express hydraulic failure: An Air India Express flight from Tiruchirappalli to Sharjah faced major difficulties on Friday. Shortly after takeoff, the plane’s hydraulic gear failed. There were a total of 141 passengers on this plane. An attempt was made to make an emergency landing of the flight due to which it was necessary to reduce the fuel. Due to this, the plane kept circling in circles for about 2 hours. After this the plane was finally landed safely. Now the first statement on this entire incident has come out from Air India Express.
The plane made a total of 21 rounds
The Air India Express plane with 141 passengers kept circling in the sky for 2 hours. The plane made a total of 21 revolutions before the emergency landing. During this time, the real reason was not told to the 141 passengers present in the plane. The captain only announced that the plane had a technical fault and would land again in some time. After the landing of the plane, when the calls from the family members started coming, the passengers came to know that the hydraulic gear of the plane had broken down, after which the passengers got scared and got stressed.
What did Air India Express tell?
On this incident of technical glitch, Air India Express said that it is aware of the media reports related to the flight operating on Tiruchirappalli-Sharjah route. The company said no emergency was declared by the aircraft’s operating crew. Air India Express has also explained why the plane was made to go around again and again.
Why was the plane circling?
Air India Express reported that the aircraft circled a designated area several times before landing safely after reporting a technical fault. This has been done to reduce the fuel and weight of the aircraft while keeping the runway length in mind. Air India Express further said that the cause of this incident or disturbance will be fully investigated. Along with this, the company has said that an alternative aircraft is being arranged for the passengers.
