After the absconding of pro-Khalistan Amritpal Singh, the supreme body of Sikhs, Akal Takht has called an important meeting on Monday, in which 60 to 70 Sikh organizations and Nihang groups are likely to participate. In this meeting, a framework will be prepared regarding the action taken against the supporters of Mukhi Amritpal of “Punjab de Waris”. According to a poster issued by the office of Akal Takht, this meeting has been called to discuss the current situation in Punjab and chalk out a future strategy.

According to the poster, the future strategy will be decided by discussing the situation prevailing in Punjab, the long-standing unrest in the minds of Sikh youths and their recent arrests in this meeting. All Sikh organizations, gurdwaras, sects, Nihang organizations, intellectuals, lawyers, journalists, student organizations and religious and social representatives have been invited to the meeting, which will begin at 12 noon. The meeting was announced a day after the Jathedar issued a fresh statement on the Punjab Police operation, saying the government should hold talks with the Sikhs to find an amicable solution to their issues if they want to stabilize Punjab. should start.

Amritpal should surrender if he is not arrested
On the other hand, before this meeting, Akal Takht’s Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh has also said that if the fugitive Amritpal Singh, the chief of “Waris Punjab De”, is not arrested by the police, he should surrender. He said in a video message that he should surrender and join the investigation. He said that the action of the police is a violation of the right to speak and express views provided in the constitution. He asked the police not to aggravate the matter by applying strict laws against the youths arrested during the operation.
