Akhilesh Yadav sent a reply to the notice of the Election Commission, along with sent proofs, know what is the story behind it?

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) president and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday sent a compilation of documents and media reports to the Election Commission, including evidence that the names of a large number of party supporters were removed from the voter list in the state’s last assembly elections. SP National Spokesperson Rajendra Choudhary said here that in response to the notice sent by the Commission on October 27, party President Akhilesh Yadav wrongly named a large number of supporters of the party in the voter list in the assembly elections held earlier this year. Evidence of deducting has been sent to the Commission by e-mail.

He said that these documents include a photocopy of the complaint made to the Chief Electoral Officer and the Chief Election Commissioner of the state and a compilation of media reports. He said that Yadav has said in the email that a demand was made to investigate the information received from activists, supporters, citizens and media reports of various districts depriving voters from voting, but no investigation was done.

It is worth mentioning that SP President Akhilesh Yadav, in the party’s national convention in Lucknow on September 29, accused the Election Commission of working at the behest of the ruling BJP and said that the Commission had given 20 seats of Yadavs and Muslims to every seat in the last assembly elections. -20 thousand votes were removed. He had also said that the entire government machinery has worked together to get the victory of the SP to the BJP.

On this, the Election Commission had issued a notice to Akhilesh Yadav on October 27 last. The commission had sought a reply from Yadav on his allegations along with evidence and documents by November 10. Chaudhary said that the SP president has also demanded the involvement of the party’s representative in the investigation process. He said that Akhilesh Yadav, taking cognizance of the complaints of SP workers, supporters and common citizens and media reports, had told about wrongful deletion of names from the voter list. He had no intention of hurting the dignity of the Election Commission.
