Alert of rain and hailstorm in these states of the country, dense fog increased the difficulty here

Winter has increased in North India

Weather Forecast 13 December: Cold has increased in entire North India including Delhi-NCR. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense fog in different parts of the next three states of Haryana, Punjab, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Fog is also being seen in many areas of Delhi, Noida, UP and Bihar on Wednesday morning. The Meteorological Department said that during the last 24 hours, minimum temperatures of 5-10 degrees Celsius were recorded in most parts of Rajasthan, Northern UP, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh. The weather here will remain like this during the coming 24 hours also.

Snowfall in Uttarakhand

At the same time, snowfall is also occurring in the hilly states of the country. There was snowfall today in Auli, Chamoli, Uttarakhand. Apart from this, snowfall is occurring in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this, cold has increased in the plain areas.

Rain and hailstorm alert in Arunachal-Tamil Nadu

The Meteorological Department has predicted hailstorm in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh today. Apart from this, there may be heavy rain in Tamil Nadu till 16th December. Apart from this, it may rain in Lakshadweep itself.

Delhi’s climate

It was a cold morning in NCR including Delhi and Noida today. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature is expected to fluctuate in Delhi in the next five to seven days. The IMD said that the sky will be partly cloudy in Delhi on Wednesday and the minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to be around seven degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively. Earlier on Tuesday also the minimum temperature in Delhi remained below seven degrees Celsius. According to officials, in the morning the mercury was recorded at 6.8 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal.

Minimum temperature in Kashmir still below zero

There has been a slight increase in the temperature in the Kashmir Valley during the last 24 hours but the minimum temperature is still below zero. The Meteorological Office said that the state will remain generally cloudy till December 16 but the weather will be mainly dry. The minimum temperature in the valley was recorded at minus 1.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Pahalgam in Anantnag district recorded a minimum temperature of minus 1.5 degrees Celsius, while famous tourist spot Gulmarg in Baramulla district recorded a minimum temperature of minus 3.5 degrees Celsius. The mercury was recorded at minus 2.6 degrees Celsius in Qazigund, minus 2.3 degrees Celsius in Kokernag and minus 2.4 degrees Celsius in Kupwara.

Severe cold in Odisha too

The mercury dropped below 10 degrees Celsius in many tribal dominated districts of Odisha on Tuesday, increasing the cold in the state. The lowest temperature was recorded at G.Udayagiri in Kandhamal district in the state. The temperature was recorded at 7.2 degrees Celsius in Udaygiri, 9.4 degrees Celsius in Keonjhar and Kiri of Sundargarh district, 9.5 degrees Celsius in Daringbadi of Kandhamal district and 10 degrees Celsius in Phulbani. The IMD has predicted a drop of two to four degrees Celsius in night temperatures at many places in the state by December 14. Bhubaneswar-based Meteorological Center director HR Biswas said, cold wave conditions are expected to persist in most parts of Odisha till January 2.
