Allahabad High Court will hold important hearing in Gyanvapi Masjid dispute case today, total 5 applications are filed

Gyanvapi Masjid Hearing: The Allahabad High Court will hear once again today in the matter related to Varanasi’s Gyanvapi Masjid dispute. Five petitions were filed in this case. Hearing on three of these petitions has been completed. The High Court will hear today on two petitions filed against the order of the SI to conduct a survey of the disputed premises issued by the Varanasi court.

In today’s hearing, the Archaeological Survey of India has to file its affidavit. Also, the Director General of ASI will have to personally appear in the court.

Judgment can be kept in reserve today

According to the information, this hearing will be held from 2 pm in a single bench of Justice Prakash Padia. Today the hearing in this case can be completed and the court can reserve its judgment on all the five applications.

Supreme Court had refused to hear

Let us tell you that in the Gyanvapi case, on Monday, the Supreme Court had heard the petition to stop the hearing of the case. During this, the court had refused to hear the matter further. The court had asked the petitioner to place his point in the High Court. A bench of Justice DY Chandrachud said that it will not hear the PIL.

what was the last decision of the district court

Earlier on 12 September 2022, the district court of Varanasi had given a verdict on the Gyanvapi Masjid and Shringar Gauri case. The court had said in its judgment that the Gyanvapi-Sringar Gauri case is worth hearing. The case was heard in the district court by a single bench of District Judge AK Vishvesh. After this decision, Hindu side’s lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain had said that the court has accepted our argument. The application of the Muslim side is rejected. The court has said that the petition is maintainable. After the decision came in favor of the Hindu side, the Muslim side had said to challenge it in the upper court. It is believed that the Muslim side will challenge the decision of the District Court in the High Court.
