In this connection, the Punjab Police is also present in Nepal. At the same time, a petition has been filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on behalf of Amritpal’s legal advisor Iman Singh. A hearing was held today in the Punjab and Haryana High Court in this matter. After listening to the arguments of both the parties, the High Court gave instructions to file written answers through affidavits in the court. Tomorrow the matter will be heard again.

During the hearing of this case, the Punjab government said in the High Court that Amritpal was not in their custody. Agencies are continuously running search operation regarding his arrest. Today, during the hearing in the High Court, Central Government’s lawyer Satyapal Jain and AG Vinod Ghai said that the police is close to catching Amritpal. The High Court asked Amritpal’s lawyer that ‘what is the proof that he is in police custody? You bring some proof that in which police station is he? The court said that ‘AG is saying that he is not in custody. If he is speaking, then it is his responsibility. The High Court said that ‘bring even a proof that in which police station he is, we will put a warrant officer. But not just by talking.

The High Court asked Amritpal’s lawyer to file an affidavit. Along with this, the IG of Punjab Police was also asked to file an affidavit. Amritpal Singh’s lawyer Iman Singh Mann told that today in the hearing, the lawyers appeared on behalf of the government. In which the government told that Amritpal has not been arrested. On this, the High Court said that both the parties should give affidavits. There will be a hearing again tomorrow regarding this matter. Amritpal’s lawyer said that many videos are also being released continuously just to tarnish the image.
