Andaman gang rape case: Businessman arrested from Haryana, brought to Port Blair

Port Blair: A businessman arrested from Haryana in connection with the gang rape of a woman in Andaman ‘Transit remand’ But was brought to Port Blair on Monday. A police officer gave this information. Sandeep Singh alias Rinku, absconding in the gang rape case, was arrested by the police on Sunday night, the official said. Rinku is accused of involvement in the case. Former Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Jitendra Narayan is also an accused in this case. He said that the Andaman and Nicobar Police has arrested a Port Blair businessman, who has a reward of one lakh rupees.

The officer said, “The police got information about Sandeep being in Haryana through his bank transactions. The Andaman and Nicobar police alerted the Haryana and Delhi police and he was arrested. “He was brought here on Monday on transit remand. Before questioning him, he was taken to GB Pant Hospital for medical examination.” The police, however, did not give information about the place in Haryana from where the accused was apprehended.

Andaman and Nicobar Police arrested Sandeep Singh alias Rinku and suspended Labor Commissioner R.K. on November 2 in connection with the rape of a 21-year-old woman. Ale. The government suspended Narayan with immediate effect on October 17.
