Andhra Pradesh: Stone pelting on Chandrababu Naidu’s vehicle in Nandigam, CM Jagan accused of conspiracy

Vijayawada. An unidentified person pelted stones at the vehicle of TDP President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Nandigam in NTR district on Friday. Although Naidu narrowly escaped the attack, his chief security officer suffered a face injury. Chandrababu Naidu was on his way to Jaggaiyapet to participate in a party program. TDP leaders and workers gave him a grand welcome at Nandigam. But soon after, an unidentified person pelted stones at Naidu’s vehicle. Naidu was greeting people in an open vehicle.

According to a news agency ANI, this was Naidu’s first visit to Nandigam and Jaggaiyapet assembly constituencies after the 2019 elections. That’s why TDP leaders mobilized huge crowds for road shows in both the towns and across the route. When the convoy reached Nandigam, Naidu came out of his car and greeted the party cadre who stood on either side of the road and greeted him. An unidentified person standing in a crowd of thousands of party workers pelted stones at Naidu’s vehicle. This stone went to his Chief Security Officer Madhu Babu.

After this the security personnel sent Madhu Babu in another vehicle. where he was given first aid. SPG security personnel increased the security cover for Chandrababu Naidu, while the local police also increased their security. The police also requested the TDP chief to move swiftly to avoid any untoward incident during the rally. Despite this, however, Naidu addressed the party cadres waiting on both sides of the road and accused Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy of indulging in “criminal politics”. He alleged that Jagan was encouraging criminal acts against leaders of opposition parties. He said he would not tolerate violence.
