The period of cruelty against innocent children is not stopping. Another case has come to light from Chandigarh, where a school bus driver raped a minor girl. The police have arrested the accused. A case has been registered against him under several sections including POCSO and rape. A few days ago, an incident of sexual harassment of two minor girls in a school in Maharashtra had come to light.
On Wednesday, the Jikarpur police arrested a bus driver of a big school in Chandigarh. He is accused of repeatedly raping a 17-year-old school girl. The accused has been identified as 26-year-old Mohammad Razak. Police said that the accused was blackmailing the minor through morphed pictures. He committed this crime with the minor 3 times between May and July.
Frustrated by the repeated atrocities, the student informed her family about it and then a complaint was lodged with the police. The Jikarpur police took immediate action and arrested the accused.
According to a Hindustan Times report, the minor told the police that the accused had been following her for several months and had even expressed his desire to be friends with her. However, after the student refused, the accused morphed a photo of a family function and then started threatening her. On May 18, when the student was at home with her sister, the accused came and started forcing her to have sex and threatened to share objectionable photos.
After this, the accused raped the student at home on July 6 and July 26. The report quoted police officials as saying that when the school talked to him about this matter, the driver working on a contractual basis resigned.
