Baba Siddiqui Murder Case
The investigation into the murder of former Maharashtra government minister and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui is progressing rapidly. According to information received from Crime Branch sources, two modules of Bishnoi gang were working in this murder case. To carry out the murder of Baba Siddiqui, the accused had bought a second hand bike and stayed in Mumbai for about 25 days and did recce of Baba Siddiqui’s movement. Let us tell you that on October 12, Baba Siddiqui was shot dead outside Zeeshan Siddiqui’s office in Nirmal Nagar.
Shooters fell from bike during recce, then plan changed
To buy a bike, Pravan Lonkar, the arrested brother of accused Shubham Lonkar, had transferred Rs 60 thousand to the bank account of another accused Harish. The accused were in Mumbai for about 25 days. During this period, he used this bike several times for recce. This bike was to be used to murder Baba Siddiqui and then escape. But one day during recce, two shooters fell from the bike, hence they felt that there was a danger in carrying out the crime on bike, after which the plan of using bike was dropped and they came to shoot in auto. The crime branch has seized this bike.
Had brought one extra shirt each in the bag
On the day of the incident, the accused had brought an extra shirt each with them. The plan was to wear this shirt to change the identity after committing the murder. Two of the three shooters had also changed their shirts after the incident. Three pistols were used in the murder, one of them was an Australian Glock pistol, a Turkish pistol and a country-made pistol. Police have recovered all three weapons.
Why was Zeeshan’s office chosen for the incident?
The shooters did recce of Baba Siddiqui’s movement several times in 25 days. During this time, the shooters also gathered information that wherever Baba Siddiqui goes, he stays inside the car and even at the time of return, he leaves the building in the car, but when he goes to Zeeshan’s office, he walks some distance. Then sit in the car. After this information, the shooters chose Zeeshan’s office for the attack. Today Zeeshan Siddiqui reached the Crime Branch office where he informed the police about the possible reasons behind the murder. Who was Baba Siddiqui?
Baba Siddiqui was a popular face in Maharashtra politics. He left Congress this year and joined NCP (Ajit faction). He was known for throwing grand Iftar parties, which were attended by big Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan. His parties were resplendent with all the big and small stars of Bollywood. He had been in Congress for 48 years and was also a three-time MLA from Bandra West. He had also been the Minister of State in Maharashtra.
