New Delhi. Senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar on Wednesday lauded the Center for banning the Popular Front of India (PFI) and condemned those opposing the move, calling them “anti-India”. Kumar took a dig at the opposition leaders demanding a ban on the RSS, calling them “mentally weak”. Kumar, a member of the RSS’s national executive, told PTI, “Banning PFI was the biggest demand of the time. The government has taken a very important step to protect the country, democracy and humanity. There are no words to praise the government for this decision.
He said all those opposing the ban on PFI are “anti-India” and against the country’s peace, harmony and development. Kumar said that by opposing the ban on PFI, they are also supporting violence and killings. Describing the RSS as a “Hindu fundamentalist organisation”, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Prasad on Wednesday said it should be banned. Countering this, Kumar said those demanding a ban on the RSS are “mentally weak”. Kumar, patron of the Rashtriya Muslim Manch, claimed that a large number of clerics and Muslim intellectuals have expressed their happiness by talking to him over the ban on PFI.
