BSF officials have said that the person killed on the border has been identified as Saddam Hussain of Dastki village of Maulvi Bazar district of Bangladesh. At the same time, during this entire incident, a BSF jawan suffered serious injury on his forehead. The jawan was taken to the nearest district hospital for initial treatment. His condition is currently stable.
