‘Be patient for a few days’, what did Mamata Banerjee say on the removal of Kolkata Police Chief

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made a big statement regarding the resignation of Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal. She said that Goyal has offered to resign after the protests, but in view of Durga Puja, we need someone who understands law and order. The CM taunted and said that if you have patience for a few days, will Mahabharata happen? It is known that Mamata also has the charge of Home Department. Former Principal of RG Kar Medical College Sandeep Ghosh has been arrested. After this, the next big demand of the protesters has been the resignation of the police chief. Opposition parties in the state are also fully supporting it.

An administrative review meeting was held at the state secretariat Nabanna on Monday. During this, Mamata said that she never offered money to the parents of the deceased doctor. She requested people to return to celebrations as Durga Puja is near. The CM said, ‘I never offered money to the lady doctor’s family. This is nothing but defamation. I told them that if they want to do something in memory of their daughter, then our government is with them. I know what to say and when.’

Center accused of plotting

CM Mamata alleged that the Center is hatching a conspiracy to fuel public outrage over the Kolkata incident. She claimed that some leftist parties are also involved in it. The Chief Minister said, ‘The protests after the RG Kar incident are definitely a conspiracy of the Center and some leftist parties are also involved in it. Some people are taking advantage of the turmoil in the neighboring country. They have forgotten that India and Bangladesh are separate nations.’ Mamata appealed to the junior doctors to return to duty as soon as possible. The body of a female doctor was found in RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9. The lady doctor was raped and murdered in the hospital when she was on duty. After this incident, protests took place across the country.
