Bengal government took all steps to deal with ‘Sitrang’ cyclone, issued alert

West Bengal Cyclone Sitrang Update: The West Bengal government has taken all precautionary measures to avoid possible damages caused by the impact of ‘Sitrang’ cyclone, including evacuation of people to safer places and supply of relief material to the camps. A senior official gave this information on Monday (October 24). He said that SDRF and NDRF personnel along with several teams of Disaster Management Department have been deployed in the coastal areas of the state.

A senior official told ‘PTI-Bhasha’ that, “Tourists and fishermen are not being allowed into the sea. Special teams of police have been deployed along with the personnel of State Disaster Response Force and National Disaster Response Force. We don’t want to take any risk.”
