Bengal Politics: Mamta Banerjee trapped in the maze of difficulties! The sword of arrest hangs on the big leaders of TMC
Mamta’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee on the target of ED
Abhishek Banerjee is the nephew of Mamta Banerjee. Along with being an MP, he is also the general secretary of TMC. According to sources, in any case, when ED’s investigation starts, one end of it gets connected with Abhishek. Whether it is a matter of giving jobs on money by ignoring all the norms in the appointments or the money transaction of coal-cattle smuggling, Abhishek Banerjee’s name gets added somewhere in every investigation. However, barring a few announced cases, in most of the cases, the ED has not yet disclosed their names. That’s why the investigation is still going on and often some new case of corruption is coming to the fore.
ED called Abhishek’s wife for questioning
Rujira Narula Banerjee is the wife of Abhishek Banerjee. The ED has already questioned him. When Rujira reached the airport two days ago to go to Bangkok, she was stopped by immigration. When she came back home, she got ED’s notice. On June 8, the ED has called him for questioning. Her husband Abhishek Banerjee has been evading ED questioning for a long time. He went up to the Supreme Court to avoid being questioned, but did not get relief. Eventually he went to the ED office with the body. He was questioned for about 9-10 hours. Now Rujira has to be questioned by ED. Bengal CM and Rujira’s aunt mother-in-law Mamata Banerjee has strongly objected to this.
Mamta strongly objected to stopping Rujira
Abhishek Banerjee’s aunt and Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has strongly objected to Rujira Narula Banerjee being stopped at Kolkata airport. They also object to the fact that Rujira had informed the ED much before going to Bangkok. Earlier, he was not informed about calling for questioning. He was stopped at the airport and later summoned to Delhi for questioning on 8 June. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed strong displeasure over Rujira being stopped. He has said that Rujira had informed the investigating agency ED about traveling abroad long ago. ED has done this deliberately. Mamta told that Rujira is a girl of Punjabi origin. Right now his mother’s health is very bad. That is why she was going to Bangkok after giving information to ED. Mamta also said that the Supreme Court had given conditional permission for Rujira to go abroad. The Supreme Court had said that if she ever goes abroad, she will inform the ED first. Keeping in mind the order of the court, Rujira had informed the ED much earlier. Had the intention of the ED been clear at that time also, it would not have allowed them to go. ED now serves notices at the airport, which is a very inhuman step.
ED engaged in siege of Mamta, signs of major action
According to reliable sources, the ED is busy laying siege to Mamta Banerjee. This suspicion has been confirmed by the sudden arrival of the ED chief in Kolkata and meeting with the officials for two days. It is possible that ED has got some such information, on the basis of which some leaders of big stature can be arrested. Partha Chatterjee, who is considered very close to Mamta Banerjee, is already in jail in the teacher appointment scam. Malay Ghatak, a minister of Mamata, is to be questioned again on June 19. He has been summoned to Delhi by the ED. The scam in the appointments in the municipality and fire department is also under investigation. The mass appointments have already been quashed by the Calcutta High Court. Mamta’s other strongman leader Anuvrat Mandal and his daughter are in jail in the cattle smuggling case. Some accused of coal smuggling are also languishing in jail. Many other TMC leaders have also been named in the scam, some of whom have been arrested and some are pending arrest. That is, the ED-CBI has made concrete arrangements for plucking Mamta’s wings. The central investigative agencies are making arrangements to keep track of such people till the Lok Sabha elections.
