Addressing media persons, the Congress leader, who is one of the key leaders involved in promoting the ‘Bharat Jodi Yatra’, can all claim that the foot march is helping the party to reconnect with those Which they have forgotten after coming to power.

“This journey is promoting door-to-door connectivity which we had forgotten. We had forgotten while in power, but now we are remembering it with this yatra,” said Jairam Ramesh.

Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi had launched the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ on September 7, aimed at reviving the grand old party across the country. The foot march that started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu will end in Srinagar in Kashmir.

Many public meetings will be held during the yatra. Gandhi covers a distance of about 25 kilometers every day and interacts with those who join the ‘yatra’, including local people.

‘Bharat Jodi Yatra’ is currently in Maharashtra and will enter Madhya Pradesh on November 20.
