Today, bulldozers were used on 23 illegal houses built on government land in Gram Panchayat Sarai Jagna of Fakharpur block of Kaisarganj tehsil area of ​​Bahraich. In view of security, SDM and other tehsil officials were present in the village along with police and PSC. However, there was no protest from the villagers. The tehsil administration is taking this action on the orders of the High Court. For this, an announcement has already been made in the village.
In village panchayat Sarai Jagna under Fakharpur development block of Kaiserganj tehsil, the land of plot number 92, 211 and 212 is marked for barn and road. But the villagers have occupied this land. Some have built permanent houses while others have built thatched huts. More than 129 people are living there by making their own residences. These include adults as well as children. The tehsil administration is going to take this action on the orders of the High Court. For this, an announcement has already been made in the village.
The villagers said that everyone has been living in the houses built for 50 years. But now the revenue officials have issued a notice to take possession of this land. The notice was received in the year 2023 itself. Even after this, the occupation of the land was not removed. The court gave instructions to remove the occupation from the land. The administration says that this action is being taken after the order of the High Court.
Local and affected people say that the administration and the government are bulldozing not 23 but 119 houses. People say that there is a whole colony here. Even many Prime Minister’s houses are built here.
