In a shock to the Aam Aadmi Party in Haryana, the party’s Faridabad candidate Pravesh Mehta joined the ruling BJP on Saturday. Mehta, 69, joined the BJP in Faridabad in the presence of Faridabad MP and Union Minister Krishna Pal Gurjar and senior Haryana BJP leader Vipul Goyal. Vipul Goyal is the BJP candidate from Faridabad in the assembly elections.
After joining BJP, Pravesh Mehta said, “I joined BJP because I was watching whether this election was happening or a war. I said that it should not happen that due to your fighting, the people of Faridabad take any wrong decision. I decided to support Vipul ji to make Faridabad beautiful.

On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal claimed on Saturday that if he had been released from jail three-four months ago, his party would have formed the government after the Haryana assembly elections. However, Kejriwal also said that the next government in Haryana cannot be formed without the support of AAP.
Addressing a rally in support of AAP candidates in Haryana, Kejriwal talked about his party’s guarantees, which included free electricity, setting up of mohalla clinics, improving the condition of government schools and hospitals and giving Rs 1,000 per month to women. Plans are included.
Kejriwal said, “I want to say that if they had released me from jail three-four months ago, our government would have been formed in Haryana. I am getting a lot of love from people everywhere. They released me only 10 days ago. We are getting so many seats that without us no one can form a government in Haryana. Whatever government is formed in Haryana, it will be formed with the support of Aam Aadmi Party.”
