Israel is currently fighting a direct war with Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran. On Tuesday night, Iran directly started the war by firing 200 missiles at Israel within an hour. Israel has also vowed to give a befitting reply. Israel had not yet recovered from the Iranian attack; it has been dealt a serious blow by Hezbollah in Lebanon. In the ground fighting, eight Israeli soldiers, including a 22-year-old captain, were killed by Hezbollah fighters. The Israeli Army has also confirmed the death of its soldiers. Amidst the fierce fighting going on in Lebanon, Hezbollah says that it has attacked the Israeli army with bombs. This caused an uproar in the IDF. Hezbollah has also claimed to defeat the IDF with its military strategy.
The Israeli military said Captain Eitan Itzhak Oster, 22, was killed in fighting against Hezbollah on Wednesday, although the IDF did not provide further details. The Israeli army then said that the number of soldiers killed in combat operations in Lebanon has reached eight. This is bad news for Israel in the ground war against Hezbollah because a day earlier Iran had terrorized Israel by firing 200 missiles in an hour. The IDF had earlier said that its troops were engaged in a fierce encounter with Hezbollah militants in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah’s claim – Israeli soldiers running away to save their lives
On the other hand, Hezbollah has claimed that it targeted the Israeli army with an explosive device near the southern border village. The Israeli army was not prepared for this attack and this created panic among them. Hezbollah said that our attacks had surprised the IDF. Claiming to have defeated the Israeli army, the terrorist group said, “We have foiled an attempt by the Israeli army to infiltrate into the village of Yaroun.”
Ground battle between Hezbollah and Israel on Lebanese soil after 18 years
Earlier, Hezbollah had earlier said that it had foiled an attempt by Israeli troops to enter the border village of Adaiseh in the north-east. After almost 18 years, Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah and Israel are face to face on Lebanese soil. Israel and Hezbollah claimed victory in the 2006 war. However, Israel had admitted that in 2006 it could not cause that much damage to Hezbollah and the decision to fight the war without a strategy proved wrong. Therefore, this time Israel first killed Hezbollah’s chiefs and commanders in air strikes. Many fighters were crippled in pager and walkie-talkie attacks. Apart from this, Hezbollah’s weapons and missiles were destroyed while targeting several houses in South Lebanon.
