According to sources, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has also supported this proposal of Mamata.
What did Kharge say on the proposal?
The INDIA meeting being held in Delhi on Tuesday has ended. According to sources, Mamata Banerjee proposed the name of Mallikarjun Kharge for PM. Some other leaders also supported Mamata but Kharge said that elections are still ahead and we have to work to win now, the PM candidate will see later. Kharge said that first we will increase the numbers, then we will decide who will be the PM.
Will hold demonstrations and meetings together – Kharge
After the alliance meeting was over, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge addressed the press conference. He said that 28 parties participated in this fourth meeting. Everyone expressed their views. Everyone has unitedly decided that they will hold 8-10 meetings and demonstrations simultaneously in the country. If all the leaders are not seen on one platform then people will not know that they are together now. Therefore this decision has been taken.
Will protest against suspension of MPs
Mallikarjun Kharge told in the press conference that the decision to suspend MPs from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha has also been opposed in the meeting of the opposition alliance. Everyone said that this is not democratic. No wrong issue was raised in the House on which this action has been taken. We are already saying that the PM and the Home Minister should give a statement on what happened in the House. He said that the House is running and the PM sometimes goes to Ahmedabad and sometimes to his parliamentary constituency. Never before in the country have so many MPs been suspended simultaneously. We will fight for it. He said that everyone will together protest against it on December 22.
